Mobility Extension

Mobility extension functionality allows your mobile phone to act as though it was part of your telephone system, when in reality still working as a mobile phone.

Features and Benefits

By 'twinning' with your desk phone, when someone calls your DDI (direct dial number), or extension number, your desk phone and your mobile will call simultaneously, and allow you to transfer calls between the two devices. If you answer the call on one, the other will also stop ringing.

  • All features of an analogue extension on your telephone system
  • Hold, Transfer, Camp - On, conference call (system dependent)
  • Callers can call into the mobility extension unit to make an internal call or dial an external number e.g. International call - this would be more cost effective

- You can call directly to any of your colleagues by dialing the special office number then their office extension number without cost.

If you make international calls from your mobile phone, from the UK, an alternative is to dial the special office number, dial 9 for an outside line then the international number you need to call, this will route the call via the office landline and therefore reduce the costs.

As a mobility extension user you only need to manage one voicemail. No need to keep dialling into your office extension when you are out to check for messages, you can have all messages on either your mobile phone, or desk phone.

If you are using DDI's, (direct dial numbers) you only need to provide one contact number, this will always route to your office phone and your mobile so you need never miss a call. Your customer's no longer need to call several numbers just to reach you. If you do not use DDI's then the receptionist only needs to put a caller through to your extension knowing that it is ringing both devices, not spend time trying one and then the other. You also need not give out your mobile number.

Mobile to land line calls are inevitably cheaper than land line to mobiles, by adding SIM cards to your existing phone system, we can give you land line to mobile calls for as little as 3 pence per minute, instead of the average 10 pence per minute.

  • Yes, it can be integrated into any legacy PBX technology
